This 37,500 square foot horse stable and riding facility is composed to situate on 90 acres of beautiful rolling hills, enhanced with a lake. One approaches the facility by way of experiencing a meandering tree-lined driveway procession, capped with a dramatic view of the barn.

The stable is designed to accommodate 30 horse stalls, an office, and basic necessities such as: tack rooms, wash stalls, and a hay loft. A raised viewing room overlooks a spectacular 100 ft. by 200 ft. indoor riding ring. Natural light from the skywindows is supplemented with engineered indirect lighting to avoid distracting glare for both the rider & the horse. The barn is unified and enhanced by a covered arcade, which provides shelter from the elements as one accesses each individual stall.

Design features such as a band of whimsical clerestory windows, and well proportioned cupolas are also incorporated into the composition. They not only compliment the facade, but also provide a source of ventilation & natural light, to add drama and function to the space.
