This Italianate, Romantic period home had been left in great despair for almost a decade. With its leaking roof, water damaged original plaster, and stripped of its fixtures, this house requires much care and patience to restore it to its former glory.
The project is divided into two phases. Phase I involves all restoration work and structural repair to the main house and its barns. Period paneling, mouldings, fixtures and historical paint schemes are carefully chosen and incorporated to recapture the original grandeur of the house. A cornice line balustrade is also added to the existing portico to give prominence to the main entry.
Phase II encompasses a major renovation of the master bath and a period renovation to the existing kitchen, with hidden modern amenities, and a family room with a wrapped around loggia to allow its owners and their guests to gather outdoors and enjoy the magnificent views the property has to offer.
