With the completion of the 1300 sf. addition and renovation, a vast amount of drama, beauty, and coherence were added to this 1800's farmhouse.

Magnificent wrap-around porches and patios were incorporated into the design, with a covered pergola placed strategically to balance the new structure addition. To continue the language of the existing front porch, a new porch was designed to wrap around the dining room side of the house, extended and transformed into a private deck off the master bedroom, and terminated with a set of dramatic stair spilling out onto the rolling lawn.

The first floor was enhanced with a new all seasons sunroom, and the kitchen was drastically improved by expanding into the former porch. The usage of kitchen space was maximized, while allowing an abundant amount of natural light to filter through. The master bedroom and bath were also significantly enlarged. On the second floor, an additional guest bedroom and bath were added over the existing master bedroom to accomodate large family gatherings.

A new pool house functioning as an outdoor kitchen, and a mask for the pool equipment, was designed as the jewel. Situated by the poolside, this structure complimented the overall main house composition, while providing visual anchorage to the pool and terrace area.
